Faithful smoke signals |
Once
You're in the Old Faithful area the Upper Geyser Basin can be
explored on foot. No need for skis or snow shoes. Especially at
sunrise You might have the whole area for Yourself.
Getting
there for sunrise depends on Your budget and "internal heat".
Nearby Old Faithful Snow Lodge is quite expensive. Winter camping
is allowed throughout the park as long as You're out of sight.
You have to check with a park ranger and get a permit. Proper
gear is mandatory. |
